Collectible America
I rebuilt Collectible America's ecommerce and email stack — growing organic traffic 42% and email revenue 43%, compelling a competitor acquisition within months.
Collectible America came to me with an aging ecommerce platform, underperforming paid-search campaigns, and email marketing that wasn’t driving meaningful revenue. They were competing in a crowded collectibles market against well-funded players — including Asset Marketing Services, which operated GovMint and NewYorkMint — and needed to close the gap fast.
I was brought in to redevelop the ecommerce and email platforms end-to-end, and to overhaul both email and paid-search marketing campaigns. The results were sharp enough that AMS — watching their own paid-search revenue decline in real time — ultimately acquired Collectible America, migrating all customers to NewYorkMint and then GovMint.
- Increased email revenue by 43% through testing and marketing automation
- Optimized ecommerce platform for a 42% increase in organic search traffic
- Optimized highly competitive paid campaigns and decreased costs by 37% with a weekly spend of $10k
- Planned and managed ecommerce redevelopment 15% under-budget
- Led outside team of 1 front- and 2 back-end web developers
- Seamless transition of 60k customers and 1k products to Magento platform
AMS acquired Collectible America within six months of our paid-search optimization going live — the competitive pressure our campaigns created was a direct factor in their decision to buy rather than compete.
